Are you an experienced Estimator looking to join a company who are leading a clean energy revolution?

Morson are working in partnership with Rolls
- Royce SMR to recruit an Estimator to support the bidding activities across both domestic and international sales. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team in a new business playing a key role inshaping how costs are collated and managed in support of bidding activity.

You will be responsible for managing cost estimates for the Rolls-Royce SMR plants including equipment, manufacturing, construction and assembly as well as compiling preliminaries costs for specific bids.

You will work across multidisciplinary teams comprising engineering, supply chain, procurement and manufacturing to compile and update estimates and cost plans within the agreed bid timelines. This will require the ability to work to deadlines, potentiallyacross multiple tasks concurrently whilst meeting all corporate governance requirements. Bids follow a defined gated process with underpinning cost estimating procedures. An early activity of the business is to implement an appropriate cost estimating platformaligned to our digital vision and you will play a key role in shaping this.

The role will be based from either of our Derby or Warrington offices with the with the option of hybrid remote working.

**Responsibilities
- Appraising client documentation in the form of RFPs, RFQs and other enquiries
- Attending gate review meetings and presenting cost information
- Inputting cost information into optioneering exercises
- Preparing analytical cost estimates including preliminaries
- Preparing budgets and cost plans
- Working with buyers, engineers and the supply chain to assess cost information
- Risk management through the bidding process
- Value engineering through the bidding process
- Completion of tender documentation for submission as part of the bidding process

**Key Skills
- Experience of leading estimating activities in related sectors (engineering, construction)
- Experience of using Microsoft packages (Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc)
- Experience of using estimating software inc. BIM based platforms
- Engineering and/or construction knowledge
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Effective communication - written and oral
- Conscientious with an eye for detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
