The main objective of the Sheet metal worker is to support the Check Manager / B1 Support staff with meeting the required repair standards. The role will involve having an in depth understanding of the structural repair manual, along with the necessary hand skills to complete complex repairs on a variety of aircraft.

**Job role will include the following**:

- Perform sheet metal work activities on fabricated parts including assembly fixtures, drilling, deburring, filling insets and general sheet metal work activities
- Maintain work area, equipment, and records to be audit ready
- Develop and draw working sketches showing view, section, or profile
- Manufacture and fabricate aircraft sheet metal parts, panels, doors etc from various serviced aircraft. Determine type and extent of repair or replacement required, type of material and repair methods to use. Lay out, cut form, join, assemble, and install items.
- Ability to understand and interpret customer specifications and technical drawings
- Ensure all operations are completed to requirement and logged correctly
- Be able to carry out maintenance, repairs, fabrication of parts and /or production tasks to the standard specified in the technical data and notify supervisors of defects or mistakes requiring rectification
- This may include (but is not limited to): Cleaning, re-protecting, painting, finishing, cutting, grinding, blending, forming (of metal), measuring, removal/installation of fasteners, sealing, drilling.
- Able to follow detailed engineering instructions, read and understand/interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, production drawings and other specifications whilst carrying out maintenance and production activities, reporting any errors, inaccuracies and anomalies in the tech data and production planning
- Report any errors or reportable occurrences through the approved company channels, and to willingly take part in any investigation or audit
- Work safely and ethically regarding themselves, others property, and the environment
- Work to the relevant approved maintenance data as instructed by the B1 support staff / Planning department ensuring it exceeds minimum industry standards
- Accurately record and sign for any work accomplished.
- Attend recurrent training, mandatory training and competency assessments
- Engage with engineering supervisors to ensure accurate maintenance records are kept and a full/accurate bill of materials is captured by recorded
- Assist other engineering disciplines as required
- Demonstrate good tool control by maintaining an organised toolkit with an accurate inventory. Tool control inventory must be supplied to management with all tools individually identified and marked with a unique identifier.
- General ADHOC duties as requested by Management.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
