Hockey Professionals

**Required for September 2026**

**Part-time (30 hours per week), term time, plus occasional hockey camps in school holidays**

**Salary £21,000-£22,000 per annum**

Tormead School is an academically selective independent school for 800 girls aged 4-18, located a short stroll from the historic town centre of Guildford, just 40 minutes by train to London, with excellent transport links by road and rail.

We are seeking to appoint two outstanding Hockey Professionals to join our ambitious and rapidly evolving high-performance hockey programme. These appointments come at an exciting time for Tormead Sport, with the opening of our new state-of-the-art home at the Urnfield, including a brand-new astro, athletics track and upgraded training facilities that reflects the school’s commitment to becoming one of the leading girls’ hockey schools in the country.

Hockey at Tormead has grown significantly in recent years, with more than 200 pupils across the Prep and Senior School now playing and representing the school. Our teams have achieved repeated county and regional success in both indoor and outdoor competitions, demonstrating the rapid progress of the programme and laying the foundations for our next strategic phase: establishing Tormead as a recognised centre of excellence for girls’ hockey in the South, and a national contender, within the next 3-5 years.

These roles are ideally suited to players emerging from high-performance university programmes or those already competing at elite domestic level who are seeking a pathway into high-quality coaching. Post holders will have full access to the Urnfield hockey pitch, fitness suite and training spaces to support their own athletic development outside of working hours, alongside free school lunches.
