Mental Health Advisor or Wellbeing Advisor

The University of Central Lancashire is seeking to appoint a Mental Health Advisor or Wellbeing Advisor to work within our busy Student Support and Wellbeing team. As part of a team of 4 Advisors working evenings and weekends, the post holder will work with colleagues from across Student Services and the wider University to provide specialist mental health and/or wellbeing support and resources for students, maximising their student experience.
Significant experience of managing caseloads is essential, as is experience of working to standard mental health and wellbeing assessments, policies and procedures. Joining our friendly team, the successful applicant will have the ability to establish relationships with people from both clinical and non -clinical backgrounds and communicate effectively showing a good understanding of diversity and inclusion issues relating to mental health and wellbeing.
The post holder will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure the University’s support services are widely promoted, accessible, efficient and of high quality, complying with professional standards. Also, alongside the wider team, the post holders will deliver mental health and wellbeing information, advice and guidance to individuals and groups, as well as contributing to preventative work undertaken by the team.
Post holders will need to be flexible in terms of working hours to support the service. Our team of Out of Hours Advisors provide support 7 days per week. The normal working pattern for this post will be 13:00-21:00 Monday to Thursday, 11:00-19:00 on Friday and 10:00-18:00 Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, on a 3 day on, 3 day off rotational basis. There will be the opportunity for blending working, which can be discussed further upon appointment.
