**About the Role**

As Lecturer in English Language, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Undergraduate English Language degree with contribution to our modules on The Sounds of English; Language, Gender and Sexuality; and leadership of the second year Independent Project module and supervision of the students’ projects. There will also be some personal tutoring and administration roles to undertake.

You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units.

**About You**

We are seeking a person to join us on fixed-term part-time contracts in the English language team as part of the Department of English and Creative Arts. You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in any area of English Language and very good teaching experience on undergraduate English language programmes is essential. A background in some interdisciplinary work with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage.
