As part of our commitment to developing future talent, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Joinery Apprentice Trainer to join our team on a part-time basis, focusing on training and mentoring apprentices.
**Role Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in joinery to train and support our apprentices in developing the essential skills required in the trade. As a trainer, you will deliver practical and theoretical training, ensuring apprentices gain hands-on experience and knowledge that meets industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Deliver high-quality joinery training and practical workshops to apprentices.
- Provide one-to-one mentoring and support to help apprentices improve their skills.
- Monitor and assess apprentice progress, offering feedback and guidance.
- Ensure training aligns with industry best practices and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the training team and other departments to ensure cohesive learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate training records and reports on apprentice development.
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience in joinery, preferably within the marine or shipbuilding industry.
- Previous experience in a training or mentorship role is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and guide apprentices.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a workshop environment.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
- Relevant qualifications in joinery or vocational training (desirable but not essential).

**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £15.00-£16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
