**About The Role**:
Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Assistant to join our Finance Team in London on a full-time, permanent basis. As a member of the Financial Reporting and Tax team you will help to ensure that the 3 companies comprising the MO Group comply with all statutory and regulatory financial reporting and tax requirements, including financial statements and corporation tax returns, and to assist the team in providing timely and accurate financial reporting and tax analysis to management.

The Financial Reporting and Tax team comprises five people. We focus on ensuring that the organisation complies with relevant statutory and regulatory financial reporting and tax requirements. These duties include liaising with VAT and Corporation Tax inspectors and our external auditors at KPMG. The team produce the external accounts twice a year, file and pay corporation tax returns and balances, and produce monthly management accounts.

The main duties are:
Financial reporting
- Manage the Group’s pricing, rental and asset accounting for the Family Fund leasing scheme and maintain strong relationship with dedicated Family Fund customer services team
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to the fleet and support other recs where necessary
- Liaise with external auditors as required and produce audit samples and GL account populations
- Support the monthly management account models by designing controls and checks, review of data inputs, engagements with other teams
- Produce the monthly fleet volumes report which is issued to the business and any ad hoc company performance reporting (CPR) requirements
- Assist with learning of new business initiatives and take on management of new financial models as required
- Run the “Notes to the accounts” based filing system

General
- Manage the team calendar and weekly team meeting agendas (liaising with the manager)
- Minutes and actions for the team meetings
- Assist / cover any finance systems testing or development as required
- Develop MI reporting skills and liaise with finance systems on any reporting issues
- HSBC CHAPS payments admin for our own team, such as corporation tax, and for wider payment authorisations generally
- Administration of payments and subscriptions / logins schedule for all resources (PwC tax, PwC accounts, eIFRS, Taxation, Accountancy Online, PwC Inform, Alphatax, CbC, ESEF etc)
- Support team purchase orders and budgets
- Opportunity to represent team in the divisional feedback forum

**About You**:**Effective communication**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, focusing on clarity of issues and checking the understanding of all participants
- Confident in dealing with all levels of staff including senior management
- Ability to build and maintain relationships across the whole business

**Technical proficiencies**
- Excellent MS office skills, including Excel
- Strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving
- Excellent data management skills

- Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team carrying out a variety of activities within strict deadlines
- Adopt a professional approach in all dealings, demonstrating high standards and levels of performance

**Minimum criteria**:

- Finance related degree or ACCA second stage studier (Applied Skills exams)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent MS Excel skills and attention to detail in preparing and explaining workbooks
- Proactive and logical approach to problem solving
