**Job Title**:Health and Safety Officer

**Location**: Long Buckby, Northampton

**Salary**:£40,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE

**Overview**:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our client's team to be the health and safety leader of the future and to fit in with our clients strategic growth plans over the next 5 - 10 years. Our client specialises in restoration works for insurance claims on domestic and commercial properties, including rural properties and major high-net-worth projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and safety of all operations and providing strategic advice to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and board.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the health and safety strategy across the company.
- Conduct site visits and perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Advise the SLT and board on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Train and mentor staff on health and safety practices and protocols.
- Investigate and report on incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the company.

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-level health and safety role.
- Industry-standard qualifications and certifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently, with a strong sense of mutual trust.
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and developing safety policies.
- Experience in the restoration or construction industry is highly desirable.
