Senior Consultant - Climate Change & Circular Economy - London/Hybrid - Salary Negotiable £90,000 - £110,000 DoE - J12468

We have an exciting opportunity for a Climate Change Senior Consultant /Associate to join our client's Climate Change and Circular Economy advisory team in London.
You will work within a growing international team with diverse backgrounds in architecture, engineering, planning, climate science, and economics in the vanguard of sustainable development and transformational change across a varied and impactful portfolio of projects and economic sectors.
You will be joining an expert team of climate change specialists and digital and technology professionals comprising over 300 enthusiastic staff (based in offices in London, Birmingham and Manchester) working on a wide variety of research, consultancy, evaluation and design work for major projects and clients across the built environment and other market sectors. Their work scales over national, sectorial, city, organisation, programme and asset levels. It focuses on meeting the risks and opportunities posed by climate change physical impacts, and the transition to a low carbon and resource-efficient future.
The Role:
Our clients are looking for an individual to support their growing portfolio of projects, focusing on the major cross-cutting agenda of climate change and to help embed low carbon and circular economy principles into the projects they deliver. Work is likely to include:

- You will work across different economic sectors, markets and geographies and with academics, colleagues and clients to deliver these services.
You will make use of the latest digital knowhow and bespoke data science and analytics skills. You will have an interest to work with our community of digital practitioners and to blend climate and digital skills to provide advisory services and develop digital products and solutions.
Work is likely to include:

- Carbon and greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions assessment and inventories development and projection.
- Climate change strategy and policy design.
- Climate financing advisory, cost benefit assessment, offsets design.
- Circular economy design strategies.
- Circular economy business model development and business case evaluation.
- Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) climate change submittals.
- Experience in design, construction and research environments in the context of climate change.
- Working knowledge of international, European and UK, policy, legislative, regulatory and planning frameworks for climate change and circular economy.
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills (knowledge of scripting e.g., Python, MATLAB, GIS, R, experience is highly desirable).
- Business development including bid leadership, proposal creation and client relationship management.
