**Essential Requirements**:

- Have a driving licence and full access to a car with business insurance.

- Understand the importance of confidentiality when with clients experiencing domestic abuse.

The appointed HUB Officer will:
**1. **As part of the HUB team I will receive referrals and enquiries regarding domestic abuse, offering advice and support to both the public and professionals.

**2. **In liaison with partner agencies I will complete risk assessments and co-produce safety plans to ensure that the client’s needs and circumstances are reflected correctly.

**3. **I will offer specialist information and advice regarding criminal and civil sanctions, benefits, housing options and onward signposting to relevant agencies.

**4. **I Advocate on behalf of clients in a professional and respectful manner, encouraging and enabling clients to have their own voice and develop self-resilience.

**5. **Work with the HUB team to ensure referrals are sent to the correct pathway of support within Somerset Domestic Abuse Services, or if required lead onward referrals to partner agencies.

**The Role**:
The Hub Officer is part of a team providing practical and emotional support to those living with domestic abuse. The overall purpose of this role is to provide specialist, targeted support to individuals covering a range of issues and being part of a Hub team who are the first point of contact for clients, professionals and others.

The Hub officer will be the lead for the Webchat function, support with people where English is not their first language, offer specialist advice such as financial, benefits and legal options, signposting/referring as appropriate.

You will advise clients on security measures and carry out safety planning within their homes, working with colleagues to create a holistic support pathway and strengthen support networks for those with diverse and complex needs.

You will be part of a Hub rota to deliver the helpline and out of hours service
