**SDET Lead - London**
A fast-growing financial services provider working across 3 continents are looking for a SDET Lead to join their team in London. **About the role**
As the **SDET Lead** you will be involved throughout the development lifecycle within the Engineering team with responsibility of the quality assurance with emphasis on development and implementation of test automation. You will be involved inthe creation of business requirements inputting the test scripts and test scenarios to ensure developers understand the business requirements so that they can be effectively tested.
You will be working closely with developers as they develop code to ensure requirements are being met and to the correct quality, and you will conduct automated (and manual tests where necessary) to ensure the software created is fit for purpose.
**Responsibilities**
- Engage with key stakeholders, internal and external, to understand the product and user environments of the solutions we are creating
- Develop a QA roadmap & help achieve the QA goals
- Monitoring and reporting of product quality metrics
- Lead a diverse team of Testers in a challenging / fast paced environment
- Introduce and implement new ways of working that deliver efficiency and effectiveness within QA and Testing
- Proactively communicate with IT development and business teams to deliver high quality testing services
- Innovate in areas of Automation, Test Environments and Test Data with focus to reduce manual effort and dependency on development teams for support
- Be motivated to contribute and do what it takes to get things done as well as motivate others
- Plan individual tasks and manage working time in accordance with the sprint plan
- Anticipate upcoming work & plan accordingly
- Confidently explain complex solutions and translate complex problems into plain English to non-technical people
- Create, review, and execute test cases
- Analyse and generate Test Scripting ensuring traceability against business requirements
- Document, investigate, and analyse defects or problems, tracking status of defects, and verifying resolution during the testing life cycle.
- Carry out QA activities to ensure project and non-project acceptance criteria is signed off. Be responsible for executing regression tests. Raise and prioritize bugs and retest bug fixes.
- Working with project stakeholders to produce functional specifications and define acceptance criteria.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key business stakeholders, business analysts, and all IT software providers
- Ensure all test risks, issues and dependencies are recorded in the Project's central RAID Log, that mitigation is in place, and that timely escalations are made to the Project Manager
- Provide test lead with essential information for Daily and Weekly Test Reports, and Test Completion Reports at the end of each test cycle
- Manage, operate, and deliver Quality Assurance across the full SDLC.
- Provide new ideas to solve complex problems in automation
- Be always in the lookout for new tools, methods that could enhance the existing framework

**What we are looking for**
- Experienced in the breadth of the software test life cycle, with the flexibility to work from test strategy to system and component level testing
- Experience working with Product Managers, Project Managers and business stakeholders to develop and maintain test plans, test scripts, and test cases for manual testing procedures
- Collaborating with developers and business stakeholders in support of production releases. Able to plan how to test a feature and make appropriate decision on approach & technology
- Solid troubleshooting skills to deal with wide range of different processes & systems
- Report and Manage defects
- Able to write automation test scripts with the existing framework
- Good Knowledge on CI/CD Delivery model
- Working with project stakeholders to produce functional specifications and define acceptance criteria.
- Understanding of product architecture
- Familiarity with testing principles, practices & processes
- Experience in working on web technologies
- Thorough knowledge of Java SDK, Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber Framework
- Knowledge to build automation systems (e.g. Maven), version control (like Git, SVN) and continuous integration tools (like Jenkins)
- Experience with Java IDEs such as Eclipse InteliJ or Netbeans
- Experience using GIT
- Exposure to BDD/ TDD approaches
- Able to add Java documents to all methods to help other developers
- Proficient in using Test management tools (e.g. TestRail, QC/ALM, Zephyr), Defect management tools (like Jira, Bugzilla)
- Develop review, test and debug code
- Mobile Automation experience
- Knowledge on REST & SOAP cloud & containerization (eg AWS, Docker, Chef)
- Knowledge on cloud & containerisation ( Azure, Docker, Kubernates)
