Nursery Cleaner

We are a small 20 place nursery with a warm, friendly family atmosphere - looking for someone to join our team to help us maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our setting, ensuring that it is tidy, safe and welcoming.

The contract is for 50 weeks of the year (we are shut between Christmas and New year and for a further week at the end of August each year)

The hours that we are looking for are from 2.15pm - 4.15pm Monday to Friday.

Duties will include emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, cleaning our dedicated dining area after lunch and afternoon snack, cleaning toilets and main playroom.

Previous relevant cleaning experience is essential, experience of cleaning in a nursery / school, or other education establishment is an advantage

As you will be working in close proximity to young children safeguarding is a priority. As such you will be required to have a clear enhanced DBS disclosure, which will be carried out at the nursery's expense. Two relevant references will also be requested and checked.

You will be required to complete an online child safeguarding course and to read and agree to the nursery's safeguarding policy (the nursery will pay for the time that you invest in this and any training costs incurred)
