As Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and leading a New Business Projects team whilst successfully delivering on all aspects of assigned projects and providing guidance and supervision to Project Managers. Accountable for monitoringand communicating all project deliverables, from inception to delivery, you’ll also monitor and report on profitability. Playing a lead role in developing and maintaining relationships and interfaces with other key functions across the business to drive allaspects of engineering, procurement and production, you’ll arrange timely client and internal kick-off meetings and ensure all project handover documentation is completed and distributed accordingly. In addition to reporting on, driving and controlling project-specificmilestones and adherence to budgets, as Senior Project Manager you’ll also:

- maximise project profitability through effective variation management on assigned projects
- develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- provide clearly defined responsibilities for colleagues and client contacts

With a desire to progress you’ll be educated to degree level in an engineering or business discipline preferably and with a formal project management qualification, you have a proven, low-volume, high-value project management track record in areas such asoil and gas, aerospace, power generation, defence within heavily engineered high-value products. An acknowledged self-starter and problem-solver who provides clear direction and expectations, you always strive to achieve timescales and deadlines and are comfortabletackling problems and conflicts which threaten their achievement.

A strong networker, you create a positive and innovative atmosphere through your inspirational approach and drive to achieve. With great communication, influencing and people skills, you have sound commercial acumen and a real commitment to customer service.Able to bring out the best in people in a demanding environment, whilst understanding the technicalities of high-value projects, the Senior Project Manager will also have:

- demonstrable experience in delivering £multi-million projects in a complex manufacturing environment
- excellent organisational skills
- ability to communicate and manage relationships at all levels
- flexibility and adaptability to change
- proven track record of supplier/customer management
- contract negotiation in a commercial environment
- IT-literacy skills
