Biomedical Scientist Blood Sciences Band 6- Bms

My client in **Bristol**is looking for an experienced **Band 6 Blood Sciences Biomedical Scientist** for a locum contract.
Job Role:
- Working in a busy molecular testing laboratory within Pathology, you will be required to perform, analyse, record and interpret a wide range of laboratory investigations and technical procedures relating to the issue of patient and donor test results withthe support of the team.
- You will be responsible for the supervision of support staff and training of new and less experienced staff.
- You will be required to handle blood and tissue samples and operate a range of laboratory analysers and equipment
- The role is Tuesday to Saturday between the hours of 7am and 6pm but may occasionally require you to work variable hours and days, (including weekends) with appropriate notice, to meet the needs of the department.
Qualifications and Experience required:
- **HCPC registered as a BMS**:
- Evidence of CPD.
- Willingness to undertake further training and development
- Evidence of completing a structured training programme in Transfusion and / or Transplantation Science would be an advantage
- Experience of the use of a range of laboratory analysers and equipment
- Experience in range of scientific techniques
- Experience of working with Information Technology
