This position is part of the Production Department located in Leica Biosystems, Newcastle and will be an onsite role_. _At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

You will be a part of the Production Team and report to the Production Supervisor responsible for managing part of the Production Department facilitating production of medical devices in line with customer demand. **In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- Produce a wide range of product used in the detection of cancer.
- Work as part of a team where continuous improvement is fundamental.
- Complete quality documentation in line with GMP principles

**The essential requirements of the job include**:

- There are no formal education requirements for this role, but it is expected that as a minimum the successful applicant will be educated to the equivalent of GCSE grade C in Maths and English, this is required for completion of paperwork/documentation.
- The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Problem solving skills and can solve basic problems.

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:

- Working in a manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential as full training will be provided)
- Working in a regulated environment.
- Working to the requirements specified in ISO 9001:13485
