**The Vacancy**

We are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic People & Culture Advisor to join our People Operations team on a 12 month FTC contract. You will work as a trusted advisor with line managers across the business providing support, advice, and guidance on all people matters and will work in a true generalist role in a busy, fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop relationships with our employees and People Managers, learn and understand their different priorities and issues enabling us to offer value added advice;
- Coaching and advising managers on a wide variety of HR and ER matters;
- Own the onboarding and offboarding process including but not limited to creating offers, carrying out right to work checks, delivering the People and Culture induction and conducting exit interviews;
- Monitoring of probation periods - following up with managers and employees throughout the process;
- Supporting on capability, grievance, disciplinary, investigations;
- Monitoring of absence and handling any related issues;
- Managing the maternity and paternity leave process - including advising on entitlements and answering any related questions and queries from both employees and managers;
- Supporting with the monthly payroll process including preparation, processing and follow up;
- Support and work closely with the People and Culture Administrator to efficiently and effectively deliver day-to-day HR administration across all aspects of the employee life cycle;
- Regularly contribute across the People and Culture team, recommending improvements to systems and procedures to improve efficiency in the department;
- Review and update HR policies, procedures and manager guidance as and when required. Ensure that any legislation changes are captured;
- Understand and follow Company policies, ensuring that they are communicated and implemented consistently, providing proactive support and advice to People Managers and all employees;
- Supporting on HR projects.

**Experience, Skills & Qualifications required**:

- A highly organised individual who can deliver to deadlines, manage their workload effectively and maintain strong attention to detail;
- Be an excellent communicator, with the ability to influence others and solve problems as they arise in a professional and tactful manner;
- The ability to analyse and explain complex data and information is essential;
- Experience in a hands-on, busy HR environment;
- Good employee relations knowledge and practical experience;
- Pro-active, self-motivated, with a can-do attitude and service mentality;
- Empathy and the ability to liaise at all levels;
- Experience of payroll will be beneficial;
- Commercially astute and PC literate.
