We are currently looking to recruit an HR Consultant, to join our us in delivering a range of HR advice and services to schools and other education establishments.

You will be provided with thorough support from our team of highly experienced and committed colleagues.

**The role will involve**:

- Provision of both remote and onsite professional HR advice to school/academy leaders, communicating technical information and analysing issues to provide clients with a range of options for action, identifying risks as applicable and supporting them with follow up actions
- Managing a case load in relation to a named number of clients requiring both strategic and reactive HR support
- Provision of information and advice on a wide range of HR issues such as disciplinary, capability, grievance, absence management, recruitment, redundancy, restructuring and TUPE
- Sustaining effective relationships through extended and often complex casework calling for sensitivity, the ability to challenge assumptions constructively, and the ability to operate as the sole consultant in situations which can be highly demanding
- Analyse and identify HR issues and associated risks in order to support clients in making appropriate choices from a range of possible actions
- Ensuring that best practice is always followed in all aspects of HR advice and service delivery
- Assisting with the production and development of resources and materials for clients, and contribute to the identification, design and delivery of traded services, products and training which add value and meet customer needs

**What we are looking for**:

- The ideal applicant will be CIPD qualified to a minimum of level 5, preferably level 7 or working towards it. The role would suit an experienced HR practitioner or someone keen to further develop their HR career. We have a rolling programme of supporting with further CIPD study and professional qualification.
- You are ambitious and proactive and will deliver high quality HR advice, support and training both remote and on-site to clients in line with service level agreements.
- Your knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and managing people strategies will be underpinned by your ability to research and interpret complex information.
- Your ability to consult, influence and communicate clearly and concisely in writing and orally on both straightforward and at times complex or contentious staffing issues.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and excellent customer service.
- Ideally you will have previous experience of working in the education sector, whilst not essential some understanding of this sector and the challenges it faces would be beneficial.

The role is a blended mix of home and office working with occasional travel required, often at short notice, to support our clients predominately in and around the West London / North West Surrey area.
