**Practice Data Administrator**
**20 Hours Per Week**
**Job Summary**:
The post-holder will assist in managing information using the practice clinical system. They will help to achieve potential in QOF, IIF, Enhanced Services and other ICB requirements and support the Management team in maintaining efficient systems to enhance patient services.
**Main Duties / Key Performance Indicators**:
- Monitor performance / achievement to achieve QOF, Enhanced services requirements.
- Monitor and run searches monthly for recall of patients on registers.
- Monitor and manage Audit for practice.
- Troubleshoot clinical database.
- Assist clinical team with troubleshooting medical equipment.
- Load Updates
- Report failures to software supplier and track progress
- Set up and run clinical searches.
- Support and guide members of staff in the use of the computer system and information governance.
- Always ensure security of data
- Sending communications to patients
- Provide support to the management and wider team when needed
- Assist with health campaigns for the practice.
**Competences**:
Sound knowledge of practice clinical systems,
Windows and Excel.
Awareness of date security requirements
Good verbal and written communication skills
Problem solving skills.
**Confidentiality**:

Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers of the business of the practice may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the practice policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of the personal and sensitive data.
**Health & Safety**:
The post holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own and others’ health, safety and security as defined in the practice health and safety policy, the infection control policy and published procedures. This will include:
- Identifying risk involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks.
- Making effective use of training to update knowledge and skills.
- Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
- Actively reporting of health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised
- Keep own work areas and general/patient areas generally clean, assisting in the maintenance of general standards of cleanliness consistent with the scope of the job holder’s role.
- Undertake annual infection control training.
- Reporting potential risks identified
