Health Care Assistant

Fletcher ward provides a safe environment for assessment and treatment of service users that are aged 18 and above with a mental health condition. the staff team on Fletcher ward consist of registered nurses, consultant psychiatrists, health care assistants, occupational therapists, activity co-coordinators, admin and a psychologist.
Patients may be experiencing acute distress and present with a significant deterioration in mental state, risk of self-harm, self-neglect, or harm to others. we support patients that may be admitted informally or detained under a section of the mental health act. Patients may need intensive assessment and immediate intervention. Service users will only receive treatment on Fletcher ward if their mental health condition cannot be safely managed in their own home, or with support from our community teams.
On Fletcher ward we aim to provide a holistic approach to recovery and rehabilitation within a safe environment. we value positive risk taking to enable clients to move forward with their lives and promote recovery. We aim to provide person-centered care in every aspect of our role and promote patient involvement in their care and treatment plans.
