**About the Role**:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of various types of stock within our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include handling inbound and outbound goods, checking for damage or missing items, and maintaining an organised, safe and efficient warehouse environment. The role is heavily based around container loading/unloading and picking/packing etc.

**Duties Include**:
**Stock Handling**: Safely receive, store, and dispatch stock, ensuring all items are accurately checked and organized within the warehouse.

**Inventory Control**: Assist with inventory management using hand-held scanners, ensuring all goods are accounted for and match relevant paperwork.

**Loading & Unloading**: Help with the unloading of goods using manual handling techniques or operating powered/manual equipment, ensuring items are correctly stored.

**Order Fulfilment**: Pick and dispatch orders promptly, following paperwork and labels accurately, and record necessary details.

**Storage & Rotation**: Store and rotate stock according to established procedures, ensuring optimal storage practices are followed.

**Damage Reporting**: Report any damaged or missing goods to Warehouse Managers or Assistant Managers promptly.

**Housekeeping**: Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized warehouse environment by adhering to good housekeeping practices.

**Safety Compliance**: Follow and enforce safety standards and procedures in line with company health and safety policies and broader workplace safety requirements.

**Record Keeping**: Assist in preparing and maintaining records and reports related to warehouse activities, stock, and equipment.

**Collaboration**:Work with colleagues and logistics staff to coordinate the safe distribution of goods, waste, and materials between locations.

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
- Proficiency in materials handling techniques and safe lifting practices
- Familiarity with operating warehouse machinery.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems is an advantage
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively

**Shift Patterns Available**:

- Monday - Friday (7.45am -4.15pm)
- Monday - Friday (9am - 5.30pm)

**Regular Overtime available (Sat/Sun).**

All training will be provided, however previous warehouse experience is highly advantageous.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
