**Cleaning Operative - Lower Precinct Shopping Centre, Coventry**

**30hrs per week, £12.00p/h**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **General Cleaning**:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and kitchen areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Refill supplies like soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
- **Specialized Cleaning**:
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet cleaners, and pressure washers.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled, including waxing floors, cleaning carpets, and washing walls.
- **Maintenance**:
- Inspect and report any necessary repairs or hazards in the facilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Ensure that cleaning products are used safely and stored properly.
- **Health and Safety**:
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or injuries to the supervisor immediately.
- **Customer Service**:
- Respond to specific cleaning requests from staff and management in a timely manner.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while working in occupied spaces.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role in shopping Centres (1 Year).
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, supplies, and techniques.

In your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
