Emea and Latam International Tax Manager

Position Type : Full time Type Of Hire : Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) Education Desired : Bachelor's Degree Travel Percentage : 1 - 5%The role reports into the head of EMEA direct taxes and predominantly focusses on corporate taxcompliance and reporting, however given the large and global nature of the business there will be opportunities to be involved in tax analysis of transactions, tax risk management and other taxes.The role will suit someone who has strong people skills, isa team player, is well organised, driven and thrives working independently. There are multiple legal entities and jurisdiction in the region and managing a large number of deadlines to ensure tax filings and tax payments are made on time will be a criticalpart of this role.GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in the analysis of tax implications of international transactions and provide recommendation to tax leadership-Support M&A activity - due diligence, structuring, opportunities-Monitor localtax legislation changes and share knowledge with International tax team-Prepare memos to document transactions, risks, opportunities, positions taken etc. Coordinate completed transactions with other finance functions (legal, treasury, tax compliance etc). - Workwith external tax advisors where required
- Utilise, support and train internal junior resource
- Support with general tax compliance process in the interim while a new compliance manager is recruited
- Experience working with international businesses - in particular US parented international groups-Strong understanding of accounting principles-Strongwritten and oral communication skills-Strong IT skills - Powerpoint, Excel-Experience with ERP systems beneficial-Team playerEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or workexperience. Remain knowledgeable on current tax regulations.GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES- Requires strong management skills
- Strong knowledge of general tax compliance and reporting concepts, practices and procedures for multiple entities in multiplejurisdictions
- Strong analytical, statistical and problem solving skills
- Ability to utilize judgment in decision making process and decisions related to job tasks
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally andin written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner
- Skill in productivity, planning and workload management
- Ability to design, document and implementprocess improvements
