**Part Time - 21 hours Home Based**

**Up to £23,000 plus annual TAX FREE bonus (up to £2,400 in Year 1 and up to £3,600 in subsequent years) For part time the salary and bonus will be pro rata.**

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and creative Children’s Champion to work closely with our team of Supervising Social Workers and Foster Carers to ensure high quality care and outcomes for the children in placement with Capstone Foster Care in and around Hampshire and Dorset. **Home Based**

**The key responsibilities of this role**:

- Organising appropriate, events and activities for children and young people
- Arranging and engaging in various Children’s Forums, Groups and Consultations
- Carrying out one to one direct work with Children and Young People, transporting as necessary and supervising family contacts
- Supporting to maintain the stability of Children and Young People’s foster placements
- Carry out regular consultations with looked after children and young people to ensure they are being listened to and that their views influence service delivery and service development.
- Ensuring young people changing placement or leaving care are equipped and practically supported towards independence. We see this role as contributing significantly to improving the life chances and outcomes for children and young people for whom we provide placements.
**We are looking for**:

- Experience of working within the childcare or education sector ideally supporting looked after children.
- The ability to work independently and to manage your time effectively.
- Someone who can demonstrate multi-tasking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to working with people and children from diverse backgrounds.
- A driver with a full driving licence and their own transport. Willingness to travel within the region is required. Flexibility will be needed to cover out of hours meetings.
