This is an exciting opportunity to join large, friendly and experienced teams of local authority finance professionals. As a Trainee Accountant you will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience across the whole range of accountancy functions, including providing support to budget managers, assisting with budget monitoring and forecasting, preparation of accounts and treasury management activities.
You will be supported with a study and development package which will lead you to a formal qualification, with progression through the career grade as you complete qualifications and are able to demonstrate key competencies required for the role. The post will rotate at periodic intervals around key areas of finance to ensure exposure and experience is gained.
