**Store Manager (Kingston Upon Thames area)** required by one of the UK’s leading and highly successful retail outlets.
The post holder will ensure growth and maximum profitability of the site is achieved at all times.You will market and sell both space, and the company as one of the leading suppliers of self-storage in the UK.Will you also ensure a safe working environmentfor staff and customers alike by adhering to H&S Policies and Procedures.
**This is a full time, permanent role, paying £30,000 per annum plus excellent bonuses and benefits. Interviews asap
Please note that you will also assist and work closely with other stores within the South West London area.**
Duties include:

- To develop and sustain activities that ensure maximum profit and optimum customer service is achieved by the Store by attaining the financial targets agreed for the Store;
- Ensure compliance with company operational and financial procedures;
- Continually seek opportunities available for increasing occupancy and revenue, including unit mix;
- Design and carry out marketing and sales activity plans with support from the Regional Manager;
- Respond effectively to the diverse needs of each customer;
- Assist with the recruitment, training and continual development of new and existing employees;
- Ensuring the store presents itself to a high standard of cleanliness;
- Manage, monitor and adapt the working practices of the Store staff to ensure that the Store is operating to its optimum efficiency;
- Making sure that all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to for the benefit of customers and staff alike;
- Effectively manage and accurately record all enquiries using CMS;
- Monitor and improve conversion rates and mystery shop scores of all staff through observation and coaching;
- Maintain awareness of local market conditions using competitor surveys and customer feedback;
- All standard and ad-hoc reporting is accurate and timely and follows all current company procedures;
- Carry out quarterly Personal Development Plans (PDP’s) and annual appraisals with all members of the team;
- Coach and support all members of the store team to enable them to achieve their highest level of potential;
- Organise and maintain rotas for staff
- Maintain company standards of housekeeping, ensuring all areas portray a professional image;
- Account accurately and fully for all monies received into and paid from the Store;
- Complete all managerial and monitoring duties associated with company compliance;
- Maintain Health and Safety training records and identify in advance, licences and certificates

Key skills required:

- Demonstrable experience in planning & prioritising and implementing sales strategy
- Ability to maximise sales opportunities available to the Store, improving conversion rates and maximising sales of additional services and life time value of a customer;
- People management and development
- Sets challenging goals and targets for staff and colleagues
- Organise resources to maximise results whilst striving for constant improvement
- Establish and develop continuous high standards of performance
- Team Building - Lead by example to drive proactive and continuous improvement;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to motivate, drive and guide and develop staff to drive business objectives and maximise on staff potential and development
