**Job description**

**Climbing Wall Instruction**

We want someone who can incorporate their fun personality into their sessions and really give a unique and personalised experience to our customers.

Major Duties:
To supervise the climbing wall and bouldering room areas.

To organise and deliver induction training and specific classes and workshops - to include schools, local organisations and mobile wall event days.

To run classes and groups when needed ranging from beginner through to advanced

To advise on climbing techniques and movement styles.

Set bouldering problems and top rope routes.

To ensure suitable standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times both in the climbing area and storage areas for equipment.

To ensure that health and safety procedures are in place and adhered to. Regularly review risk assessments and policies and update as necessary. Ensure all users follow strict climbing wall etiquette.

To work with the Centre Manager on marketing options for the facility.

To ensure all staff adhere to the prescribed standards of teaching and supervision within the wall.

Make regular checks to the wall and equipment to ensure that it is safe to use. Report any faults immediately according to protocol.

Attend all training and meetings provided. Respond to emergency situations and carry out first aid as required.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From £20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 - 24 per week

- Eastbourne, BN26 6JF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Climbing: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid (preferred)
- DBS (preferred)
