**About the role and our team**
Join our team as a Senior Education Support Officer based in the Specialist Provision Centre at University College Isle of Man (UCM), supporting young people with complex needs. This rewarding role is 24 hours per week, which is 6 hours per day spread over 4 days.
You will provide support in addressing the needs of students, particularly those who need help to overcome barriers to learning. This role will also include providing cover at Specialist Provision Centre's, working with children and young people with complex and severe needs, including medical needs and autism. You’ll be required to support students with a wide variety of difficulties in accessing learning, you’ll need an open mind and a true belief that all students should have the same opportunities in life.

**What can this role offer me?**
This role offers you great opportunities to develop and build on your existing knowledge and skills, whilst working alongside an experienced team.
You will be provided with training opportunities including attending Safer People Moving and Handling, First Aid, Team Teach and other courses linked to working with young people with complex needs, which are all funded by the Department.
You will also have access to our Learning, Education and Development Centre and the fantastic range of fully funded courses we support.
Free parking will be available to you at UCM.

Please note an enhanced with barring police check is required for this post,** **which the Department will cover the cost of for you. Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.
A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
