**Teaching Assistant (KS2) - Full-Time, Permanent**

**Start Date**: November 2025

**Hours**: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week, excluding a 30-minute unpaid daily break)

**Additional Flexibility**: Occasional paid cover until 5:30 PM for After School Care Club

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Prep School team. This role focuses on supporting KS2 pupils in both their academic progress and personal development.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
- Assist pupils with additional learning needs under the guidance of the SENCo or class teacher
- Prepare and organise classroom resources and displays
- Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, school trips, and extracurricular activities
- Contribute to lesson planning and activity evaluation
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Communicate professionally with parents, staff, and other stakeholders
- Uphold the values and ethos of the School at all times

**Person Specification**

**Essential**:

- A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant childcare or TA qualification (e.g., Level 3 NVQ or CACHE)
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths)
- Flexible and solution-focused mindset

**Desirable**:

- Experience in an independent or preparatory school setting
- Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs
