Head of Asset Investment

**So. What is this role exactly?**

**This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Asset Investment** to join YHG, and lead on the delivery of our ambitious Investment programme from design to contract completion. With significant budgetary responsibility (c.£40m per year for the next 5 years) you will manage YHGs well established asset Investment teams, to deliver the programme of works and a number of large investment pieces to a high standard within budget and agreed timescales.

As our Head of Asset Investment, you will also lead on the management of YHG’s external property investment contractors and suppliers to ensure that all maintenance and reinvestment projects are delivered to a high quality, on time and within budget.

**What will I be responsible for doing?**

**First and foremost, you will **have you will have full autonomy for the delivery of YHG’s investment service, inclusive of planned investment, capital compliance, cyclical investment projects and adaptations service, to ensure statutory obligations/regulatory undertakings are met.

You will also have ownership for the development and design of component replacement specifications that ensure YHG stock remains fit for the future and will deliver a programme of works to ensure all properties meet a minimum EPC C rating by 2029.

We plan to continue to continue to invest substantially (Circa £260m) into our existing properties over the next five years and as a senior leader within the asset team, you will also have the opportunity to influence and have input into future strategies that follow that.

YHG also has a well-established Asset function with a range of survey activity ongoing, both internally and externally and an ambitious Sustainability strategy, and have recently achieved Silver accreditation with SHIFT. This means there’s also a real opportunity and appetite to move the asset team forward to a high performing, best in class function and really deliver for our customers
