**What we are looking for**:
To support Tendable's plans for growth in the UK and internationally, we are looking for an experienced UI Designer to join our expanding Product team. There are many new and exciting features upcoming that need to be implemented and you’ll be able to play a pivotal role in the continued development and growth of our business.
**About you**:
You’ll be someone who’s willing to learn and contribute to the wider team bringing your knowledge and expertise to the forefront at all stages of the product lifecycle. You'll be at the heart of shaping elegant, thoughtful, and delightful user experiences alongside our product owners and engineers.
You’ll have the chance to work at all stages of the product lifecycle, making sure we design the right things and design things right. You approach UI design challenges head-on and you’re not afraid to leave your comfort zone when you have your mind set on defeating a challenge.
Most importantly, you are enthusiastic about making an impact on the working lives of health and social care staff, from the front line to the board through user centered design.
**Responsibilities**:
You’ll be responsible, together with the product team, for keeping Tendable's systems easy to use, user friendly and adhering to our UI guidelines.
- Translating low fidelity UX requirements into fully realised high fidelity mock-ups that can be used as a guide for the engineers and testing.
- Creating clickable prototypes for user testing.
- Manage and maintain UI style guide for our platform.
- Work collaboratively with Product, Engineers, internal and external stakeholders to reach the best possible outcome.
- Review the implementation of designs into the platform to make sure that the design is followed to a pixel perfect level.
- Help create and maintain the design pattern libraries that aid the development team in producing components.
- Attend regular scrum team sessions to discuss current projects and offer/receive translate insights into design concepts to test and validate design directions and decisions
- Reduce complex problems down to the usable and powerful interfaces
**You’ll have**:
- Minimum 2-3 year’s experience working in a paid UI role.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and the user experience design process
- Experience working together with product managers and engineers.
- Expert skills in design tools like Figma, Sketch or Adobe Xd.
- Strong UI portfolio.
- Good understanding of UI Atomic Design
- Previous experience of working with Agile delivery methodologies
- A passion for working with others and sharing best practice
**Nice to have**:
- Experience with ClickUp
- Have been involved in design sprints
- Experience designing for health and social care needs
- Have a solid understanding of interaction on design, usability, psychology, visual and information design, and human factors.
