Hse Officer

HSE Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking for a HSE Officer based at their Wednesbury facility. This will be a challenging but rewarding role, were the buy in is already there, they just need a hands on officer totake the lead on this site under the direction of a manager.
This role reports into a Divisional HSE Manager and works alongside another HSE Officer who is based at the Wolverhampton facility. The MD of the business places health and safety as the highest priority through both words and actions and will provide you andwider HSE team with what ever you need to improve health and safety
This is a new manufacturing site with around 200 staff. There is a lot to do regarding health and safety and things aren’t where they need to be so it will be very busy and at times challenging but equally there is the support there and it will be rewarding.This position is responsible for planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of health, safety, environmental and welfare programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees.
What we are looking for;
- HSE Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential for this role
- Experience in a similar level role as an officer, advisor or coordinator, capable to making decisions and using your own initiative.
- IOSH Managing Safely is required and NEBOSH Certificate desired
- ISO 45001 and 14001 knowledge and experience would be desirable
Salary of offer is £35,000, 23 days holiday (minimum - increasing with length of service) plus 8 statutory holidays, Death in Service, Company Pension Scheme (auto enrolment) and access to an Employee Assistance Programme
