**Role**:Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist

**Location**: Midlands/Cheshire

**Salary**: Negotiable

**Hours per week**: 40

I am looking to speak with an experienced Consultant Psychiatrists with endorsements CAMHS. This is a great opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist looking to progress or if you have worked within the NHS to broaden your skill set. The CAMHS unit in particularsupports children and young people with illnesses such as eating disorders, and other complex mental health conditions, such as psychosis, bipolar disorder and emerging personality disorder

**As a Medical Director and Consultant Psychiatrist you will**:

- Provide line management and professional accountability for other medical colleagues on site - this includes a full supportive MDT
- You will lead and advise on any serious medical incident investigations / root cause analysis investigations, safeguarding referrals.
- Provide clear leadership on clinical standards for the Hospital and to take specific responsibility for specific quality measures.
- Review and lead care packages, ensuring the young people have appropriate and relevant care
- Supervise medically related audits and present these to the audit meeting and Clinical Governance.
- To take part in a second on-call rota (telephone support only)

**Requirements for this role**:

- Full GMC registration and must be on the specialist register
- Sufficient experience in CAMHS Psychiatry
- Required to be an approved clinician under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983
