**Summary**:
The Soft Services Coordinator is customer facing and responsible for ensuring Dstl receives an efficient and competent service in the soft service provision, working closely with multiple soft service partners. The coordinator is the focal point for ensuring that all soft services are carried out within the agreed service delivery plans and will provide a high standard of customer service with all stakeholders taking ownership and meeting demands as required.

**Job description**:
**We are looking for someone who has**:

- An understand and can provide advice in relation to the soft services offered at Dstl. Services include catering, cleaning, gym, car hire, travel, external events, grounds maintenance and front of house.
- Ability to understand the nature of Dstl’s business, delivery requirements and compliance for all transport services.
- Proven experience of delivering excellent customer care and service in a large organisation.
- Experience of working with contractors and suppliers and knowledge of monitoring of service standards for all soft services areas.
- Experience of complaints handling and follow up procedures.

**Responsibilities**:
**In this role you will**:

- Assist in the day to day running of the soft services operation, ensuring continuous responsibility for providing a safe, quality and cost effective service.
- Have enthusiasm and commitment to learn about and get involved with Estates and it many functions.
- Understand and coordinate Dstl’s furniture management requirements.
- Coordinator the requirements for ISO container storage, allocation and relocation as needed.
- Understand compliance requirements and working with service level agreements.
- Work with the Soft Services Manager in the continuous review, amendment and development of procedures in respect of soft services including communication of services to the wider Dstl.
- Support the Soft Services Manager to identify, develop and implement efficiencies within the service ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.
- The ability to deal tactfully, calmly and effectively with a wide range of people from within and outside the organisation.
- Follow working practices and organisational procedures in the delivery of soft services.
- Keep to schedules specifications and quality standards in the delivery of soft services.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

**Important Information***

This role will require full UK security clearance and you should have resided in the UK for the past 5 years. For some roles Developed Vetting will also be required, in this case you should have resided in the UK for the past 10 years.
