Do you have experience of working with school students and have a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths)?

WMG are seeking to appoint a Project Officer to develop, co-ordinate and deliver STEM widening participation activities to promote engineering activities in schools.

**Job Purpose**

**Duties and Responsibilities**

1. To support the development of inclusive teaching resources for engineering activities and accessible learning materials with input from academics, engineers in WMG and HVM Catapult teams. Key Catapult themes are: low-emission mobility, transport electrification, and advanced manufacturing).

2. To co-ordinate widening participation activities and teams to achieve WMG’s outreach aims and objectives.

4. To plan and co-deliver a series of events to showcase engineering activities and to support a number of dissemination activities.

5. To proactively engage key stakeholders and identify opportunities for future work and to investigate potential funding streams for related work.

6. To maintain the relevant outreach websites to ensure good communication of the outreach activities, in collaboration with WMG Communication team.

7. To contribute to the delivery of the annual widening participation outreach report.

8. To ensure compliance with University policies and procedures including Quality, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Athena Swan.

9. To undertake any other widening participation duties, such as administration, as required.
