The Solutions Design Team comprises members from many different technical and non-technical backgrounds, from network and security to datacentre, end-user compute and even service architecture. The team provides customers and the wider Softcat team sightof the broader picture - helping to pull all pieces of the jigsaw together and solving the puzzle of how business requirements are interpreted into technical solutions involving multiple technical verticals.

**Do you have a background in Dell Technologies and interested in working for Softcat?**

You'll continually demonstrate the skills and abilities of a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Dell Datacentre and Networking principles, including Storage, Compute, Backup, wired networking and other leading technologies.You will take responsibility forproducing high quality design documentation (Technical Options Papers, High Level Designs, diagrams, Statements of Work etc.) when required within a given project or customer engagement.

As a Solutions Architect - Dell, you'll be responsible for:

- Helping to understand, scope and document customers' business and technical requirements
- Producing BoMs and documentation including foundational documentation, HLDs, diagrams, Statements of Works
- Working with other Solutions Design members, professional services consultants, and architects to develop cross-discipline solutions for customers
- Continually develop your skills and abilities as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Datacentre and Networking and associated technology areas
- Become a SME for Dell Datacentre and Networking products and associated technologies

**What we need from you**
- You should hold a minimum of a Specialist or Expert Technology Architect Certification
- As a Datacentre and Networking specialist you will strive to maintain awareness of newly released technologies and new vendor offerings not only from Dell but competitive other vendors
- Consultative skills, with the ability to identify customer challenges, requirements and business needs for an outcome driven solution
- Being able to present complex information clearly, persuasively and elegantly through presentations and whiteboarding
