Finance Assistant

We are seeking a finance assistant with Sage 50 payroll experience to join our friendly head office accounts team.
We are a highly successful, UK-wide auto servicing group with over 29 managed sites. You will be based in Rochester administering payroll for our directly managed and 9 Franchised sites on a weekly, four-weekly and monthly hours basis supporting the payrollsupervisor. You will use the company's SAGE payroll system and CRM to assist with managing the company's payroll.
Accounting duties will be varied and allow wide experience to be gained in group accounting utilising Sage 200 Professional software.
The ideal applicant will have previous payroll knowledge and experience who shows initiative and has excellent communication skills.
This fantastic opportunity offers a competitive salary with holidays (22 days plus bank holidays), pension with excellent training and progression opportunities.
As this is not a trainee position, at least two years previous experience in a similar position is required.
40 hours per week. 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
**Competencies/Skills/Knowledge**:
- 1-2 years payroll experience
- Sage 50/ Sage 200
- Able to keep up with a busy payroll calendar
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality, accuracy and business profit. Hands on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Numerate and literate
- Computer literate with good Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
