We are currently recruiting for Transport Planner on a full-time, permanent contract based at our Hoddesdon site.

Shift: 5 from 7 - days

Contributing to the success of the planning department and, by extension, the transport team as a whole and the site in general. Responsibilities include overseeing the day to day planning of the transport operation, including vehicle scheduling, driverresourcing, sub-contraction and finance and analysis with a view of creating the most efficient 24 transport operation.

A highly motivated and driven individual, you will have experience of working in a busy transport department, able to deal with day to day challenges and work to provide cost effective solutions to the business and the customer.

Key Accountabiities:

- Sub-contracting and planning orders out of multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK on Dedicated and none dedicated fleet.
- Planning daily workload for a mixed fleet of Vans, Rigid and artic vehicles based on site and outbased. Along with incorporating daily cross dock between sites.
- Liaising with Traffic and Administration teams to ensure the highest standards of performance are maintained at all times.
- Maintaining, creating and updating spread sheets and databases for internal and customer reports.
- Reporting problems and dealing with issues and queries as they arise.

**Qualifications**
- Must have experience of working with Paragon routing software
- Have a high level of transport planning expertise in a busy and demanding environment.
- Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
- Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
- Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
- Be able to communicate well at all levels within the business.
- Have the ability to identify and suggest improvements to benefit both the company and the customer.
- Be a highly motivated individual able to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
- Knowledge of Road Runner and Microsoft Office preferred but not essential.
