At Your Chapter our aim is to transform the lives of children and young people who have experienced complex trauma and abuse. We are a transformational values-based business dedicated to ensuring all children and young people are cared for and supported within a stable environment. All staff are professionally qualified or working towards a qualification in therapeutic skills to enable them to tend to the children and young people’s practical, physical, and emotional needs.
Working with vulnerable children and young people you will be expected to:
- Always work to safeguard the young people we support
- Possess a resilient approach, positive demeanour, attitude, and body language
- Be aware of the aims of the home and work collaboratively with all colleagues to achieve them
**As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will be required to**:
- Support the care team to enable them to meet the needs of the children and young people.
- Undertake direct work with young people as appropriate. To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people.
- Offer supervision and support to carers in line with quality standards & regulations, and as directed by the Registered Manager. To promote our Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach and engage/lead weekly MDT meetings with Clinical and Education services on site.
- Assist the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in achieving the aims and objectives of the statement of purpose and uphold the organisations mission statement and values.
