We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of our team onMarjorie Warren Ward.

You will work alongside all members of the Multidisciplinary team to facilitate a clean and safe ward environment and on a daily basis, liaise closely with the nursing staff to identify and undertake all non - clinical tasks, which will enhance the patient experience and monitor the provision of food, source alternatives as requested or to meet patient’s needs assisting with feeding and intake recording and report variances to nurse in charge.

Your role will be to receive daily handover from nursing staff to direct role requirements for that day, as appropriate, hand over this information to domestic staff, undertake discharge cleaning of the bed, bed space and lockers on all patient transfers / discharge, ensure oxygen and suction is by each bed is clean and in good working order on a daily basis and ensure ward store is tidy and equipment stored correctly, liaise with the nurse in charge to adjust stock levels.

At the nurse’s request, you will assist nursing staff in the ordering and disposal of equipment, report any broken or faulty equipment to the nurse in charge and arrange it repair, formulate a regular cleaning programme of all chairs, trolleys, drip stands, equipment ect, evidenced in fortnightly environment Audit and report to the Domestic Service, Hotel services or nurse in charge, as appropriate, any areas, which require cleaning or fall below, expected service.
