Host/hostess

**Overview**
Would you like the opportunity of being part of a team at the beginning of a care home’s journey; building its reputation as a leader in residential nursing care, establishing a culture of positivity and inclusivity and really stamp your mark?

We are looking for host/hostesses for an 67 bedded home specialising in Care for the elderly, dementia and nursing. You will work alongside the carers to prepare the restaurant ready for service, serve residents and tidy following service. Hours are 8.30am or 9am until 1.30pm per day.

**Responsibilities**

1. Preparing breakfast giving a full choice to residents as per the menu.

2. Clear tables, tidy restaurant and prepare tables for lunch.

3. Serve main lunches from the heated server, giving a full choice of menu to residents.

4. Plating up individual trays for care staff to take to bedrooms.

5. Assisting care staff to wait on residents offering hot/cold drinks/desserts.

6. Clearing up and washing crockery and cutlery.

7. Clearing and cleaning of tables/chairs/floors and kitchen area following lunch service.

**Experience**

**REQUIRED**:

- Empathic, honest and caring nature.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Team player.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Friendly, creative and confident.
- Satisfactory enhanced DBS Check and where applicable a check against the DBS First List.

**DESIRED**:

- Willingness to undergo further extensive training to improve knowledge and care standards within the home.
- Previous experience of working in a similar role with the relevant Client group.

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
