**Part time (18 hrs per week, 37 weeks per year)**

**Salary; £18,752 (pro-rata £7,543.68) per annum + benefits**
**Location; North Notts College, Worksop**
**About the Role**
The SEND Support Specialist will be employed within the SEND & High Needs Team and report directly to the ALS Team Leader.
You will work collaboratively with academic and support staff to support and monitor the performance and progress of learners who have an Education, Health and Care Plan, Special Educational Needs and Difficulties and High Needs and will be a key memberof the safeguarding team.
The primary function of this role is to ensure that learners with High Needs and SEND, within the vocational studies programme area receive an outstanding Quality of Education and Learner Experience throughout their study programme.
**You will**
You will have sound knowledge of SEND, High Needs and a broad range of health-related issues. You must possess a high level of professionalism, good verbal and written communication skills, an ability to accurately record information in a timely manner.
Experience of supporting students with emotional and behavioural difficulties is essential as well as multi-agency work.
As a safeguarding officer suitable training will be provided and access to a strong safeguarding support network led by the Head of Student Support and Safeguarding.
