**Full time**:40 hours
**Location**:Raised in Bristol at Docklands Community Centre
**Salary**:£26,313.06 per annum

We’re looking for an experienced Early Years Educator qualified at level 3 or above to join the team as Senior Room Leader and to support the nursery manager and deputy nursery manager as the third in charge at the nursery. There’s scope to be flexible in this setting with which room you would be leading.

This is an exciting opportunity that’ be perfect for someone looking to progress their Early Years career into nursery management.

**The Role**:

- Working closely with the nursery manager and deputy manager to support the running of the nursery
- Using effective leadership strategies to ensure you lead your team to success.
- Leading and coaching staff members to reach their full potential
- Demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude to tasks
- Providing effective day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring that statutory requirements are met
- Ensuring that all Educators adhere to Raised In policies and procedures
- Holding ‘key person’ responsibilities
- Ensuring that both you and the team are leading and delivering ‘teachable moments’ at every opportunity and recording observations to show that this is happening
- Ensuring that eyLog is up to date and that all educators are monitoring children’s development and ensuring that they reach their full potential
- Working as a positive role model in demonstrating best professional practice and inspirational leadership

**Essential personal specification**:

- NNEB, NVQ Level III (Childcare & Education), BTEC (Childcare) or equivalent, or higher qualification
- Post-qualified experience with children aged 6 months - 5 Years
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures; health and safety procedures, nursery records, child development
- Knowledge of statutory requirements and legislation related to operating OFSTED registered provision
- Knowledge and understanding of child development and pedagogical approaches in Early Years Education & Childcare
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework

**Desirable personal specification**:

- Up-to-date first aid and child protection qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of early years curriculum and anti-discriminatory practices.
- A level of commercial knowledge and understanding
