ABOUT YOU
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Good negotiation skills to persuade and influence
- Good commercial awareness and ability to identify areas for cost reduction
- Good understanding of Business ERP systems and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

ABOUT THE ROLE
- To assist with achieving targeted improvements in category margin through managing compliance to preferred sources of supply, and maintaining a comprehensive product coding structure that encourages branches to use existing product price files.
- Proactively support branches with product identification, selection, sourcing and negotiation with suppliers for Adhoc customer requirements.
- To place PBU only orders with preferred sources of supply, maximising our spend and driving compliance where this is deemed a problem.
- Liaising with and building relationship with key suppliers to maximise our spend and exceeding service level commitments to stakeholders.
- Advise on product coding, cross referencing (to preferred sources), and obsolescence.
- To continually develop product and market knowledge to assist and advise branches of where best to source.
- To continually challenge existing purchasing processes with a view to identifying areas for efficiency improvement.
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with ERIKS sites and external suppliers, in order support a professional procurement service.
- Promote health and safety in line with ERIKS Health & Safety Policy within the centre operation and report all cases of non-conformance.
