Senior Support Worker

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to work across our Dundee portfolio of clients. The job consists of 35-40 hours per week. We require a qualified and experienced individual, who has worked in a Care at Home setting. This role does not have integrated on-call as standard.
You must have:
- the right to live and work in the UK
- **an SVQ2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care**:
- **be SSSC registered or you must be able to commit to registering when you join our team**:
- at least 3 years previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 6 years
- referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 3 years
- a certificate confirming your participation in a practical Moving and Handling course in the last 12 months
- a smartphone, e.g., iPhone (5s or later), with internet access to manage your rota via our app.
- a driving license.
- excellent communication and listening skills, be a team player who is focused, dedicated and reliable.
**Senior Support Worker**
The Senior Support Worker is a Carer with the duties of the Support Worker and of those listed below.
To work on the runs providing personal care.
To assist Client Services Officer and Care Compliance Officer in the process of client reviews ensuring that such reviews are timeous and that a proper written record is lodged within the client’s file and ensuring updates/adjustments to the Care Plan where necessary. All reviews are to be undertaken in a manner which effectively and fully encompasses changes in health and wellbeing of the client with preferences of the client as paramount where possible.
To undertake observations in practice and support staff competencies.
To monitor, record and encourage proper use of PPE.
To monitor, record and encourage proper recording information on internal recording systems.
To record details and advise the Care Compliance Officer of mandatory and other training required to meet any deficiencies in training to meet the policies, standards and indicators.
To assist the Managing Director in the monitoring and analysis of complaints, compliments, and incident reporting with a view to improvement of practice and procedures.
To ensure that the Run Lead fulfills their role in the care of the client and the team. This includes the proper and accurate ordering of medication and other equipment as necessary.
To contact and maintain relationships with third parties such as GP and OT.
To proactively promote a team culture within the staff and encourage sharing best practice.
To organise monthly staff meetings for the area.
