**Payroll Clerk - Bradford, West Yorkshire**

**The Role
Are you numerical with a high level of accuracy? Do you have previous payroll experience? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are specialists in the licensed trade accountancy field, looking to appoint a Payroll Clerk to assist a busy department dealing with small business payroll requirements on a daily basis.

**Key Responsibilities**

The key responsibilities of a Payroll Clerk include, but are not limited to:

- Payroll processing for clients on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis using payroll software.
- Processing Sick pay (SSP), Holiday pay, Maternity Pay (SMP), Paternity Pay (SPP), etc.
- Sending Payroll Reports, RTI’s submissions and Payslips as well as advising clients of PAYE/NIC liabilities in a timely manner.
- Processing Auto Enrolment Workplace Pension and management of NOW pension scheme.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Payroll Clerk are:

- GCSE Maths and English - Grade C or above.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work independently, remaining focused and motivated.
- A ‘can do’ positive attitude.
- Previous payroll experience (desirable).
- Understanding of PAYE (desirable).
- A high level of accuracy, and the ability to process large volume payrolls.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
- IT literate, with the confidence to learn new systems quickly and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
