Group Management Accountant

Broster Buchanan have been retained by an ambitious, acquisitive service business, creating a new Peterborough based accounting function to service the group.
The position of Group Management Accountant reports into the Head of Finance, with a dotted line to the CFO, who you will be working closely with on a range of projects, including acquisitions.
Role specification
Overview You will be a key member of the Group financial operations team, involved in the delivery of timely and accurate reporting across the Group.
Ensuring delivery is in line with group accounting policies and standards, maintaining robust financial control and co-ordinating and supporting the team in the delivery of the monthly management accounts.
Roles and responsibilities
Some of the key areas of responsibility, this is a newly formed team so these will evolve and there will be opportunity to develop and support other areas not listed as the group expands
- Financial reporting - Working along side the Group finance manger to support the team on the delivery of the month end management accounts and the preparation of other statutory and regulatory reporting required across the group.
- Cashflow management - Supporting the group and working with the businesses to produce a weekly view of group cash, understanding the group consolidated cash position and future cash flows. Co-ordination with the businesses, accounts payable and payroll willbe critical for success.
- Maintain and enhance financial control - Working with the team in maintaining financial control across the group, proactive in acting on areas of weakness to reduce group risk and enhance financial control. Completion of month end reconciliations, accuratelyprepared and within the given time frame.
- Treasury and banking relationship - You will be the key point of contact for the bank and will manage and future requirements and general administration.
- Any Ad hoc reporting or group support required

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 + Study Support and Hybrid Working
