Our client manages Europe's largest network of refined products and are ranked second in Europe in terms of storage capacity and seventh in the world. They are engaged in the transportation and storage of a wide range of bulk liquid products, especiallyrefined products, chemicals and biofuels.

The role

Responsible for all stages of development and implementation of several projects and/or engineering works at various locations at any one time

*Ensure that all work is executed on time and to budget/estimates and in full compliance with company standards and UK legislation.

Oversees multi-disciplined contract engineers who conduct engineering activities on behalf of company

*The Contract PM will be allocated multiple projects for which they will be responsible for control of cost, schedule, scope and quality.

*Prepare investment papers & business cases for projects to seek delegated approval to release CAPEX expenditure.

*Manage allocated projects involving storage tanks, piping and pipeline systems, pumps and process inline equipment, road and rail distribution, bund containment and civil works, marine facilities and infrastructure.

*Plan and manage the schedule of works for projects.

*Ensure project activities comply with company standards and assets developed under projects comply with relevant and UK legislation e.g. COMAH, DSEAR, PER, PSR, EWR, LOLER, PUWER and CDM etc.

*Ensure the allocated projects are planned executed according to plan, budget and scope.

*Issue monthly reports on project performance in line with the Exolum Project Management Methodology.

*Liaise with Technical Authority, Operations and other stakeholders to define downtime requests.

*Identify and select suppliers in line with relevant legislation and Company procedures.

*Coordinate the work of the project team, including contractors/suppliers and delegate tasks where appropriate.

*Previous experience of working on COMAH sites.

*Manage documentation/data/records within document management systems.

*Ensure activities completed are fully compliant with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work.

Manage time and resources to ensure well controlled, compliant with the Working Time Regulations and meet responsibilities for health and safety

Essential experience

*Engineering degree

*Project management of medium to large capex projects on hazardous sites / environments.

*Working knoweldge of COMAH, MOC and CDM regultaions, DSEAR

*Working knowledge of DSEAR (ATEX),

*Working Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as BS EN 14015 / API 570/650/653 and BS EN 60079, ANSI B31.1, EEMUA 159 and other relevant codes, standards and practices

Desirable

*Chartered

*Experience in managing ageing assets

*Considerable experience in the oil industry or similarly regulated environment, ideally COMAH
