**About the Role**
**Base Location**: Flexible UK | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSE offices or depots around the UK.
**Salary**: £72,500 - £108,700 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
SSE Enterprise is one of the fastest growing and most entrepreneurial parts of SSE Group. We develop utility scale assets across the UK and Ireland; and are currently expanding the portfolio to pursue New Ventures; Digital propositions and innovations in new technology solutions.
This Head of Project Performance and Planning role will support the Enterprise directorates in achieving the business targets during a period of significant growth.
You will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to ensure that the Programme roadmap delivery meets the requirement of the business and achieves the Enterprise Strategy and growth ambitions.
The key responsibilities in this role will be;
- To define and agree programme/project strategies and execution roadmaps for JV's bids, acquisitions and Major Projects.
- To challenge key client propositions and commercial proposals, drive orchestration of cross business projects and inter-Group workstreams and initiatives, coordinating with Major Projects and Sectors to ensure consistency in programme development.
- Lead strong performance management process: define, deliver and manage an integrated business performance process across the business, working closely with the PMO and other members of the Enterprise LT.
- Drive rhythm of business performance reporting across sectors, functional and operating teams (e.g. monthly progress reviews, quarterly forecast updates etc.).
- Be accountable for business wide collation of operational data and analysis to identify performance issues, trends and successes. Developing actions and to address business performance weaknesses.
- Lead cross functional initiatives that sets the organisation for scale, agility, and high performance.
- Drive annual and quarterly strategic planning and Enterprise resource forecast that is aligned with the strategic goals - ensure that priority initiatives are appropriately resourced, driving trade off decisions and choices as necessary.
**What do I need?**
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Significant programme / project management experience, overseeing multi million transformation projects involving large scale functional, operations and Business change.
- Experience in a previous Senior Programme role, for a large multi-business and multi-site organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and manage key partners within the business, at all seniorities.
- Tenacity and commitment to deliver outcomes to challenging timescales, effectively planning and organising to balance immediate and longer-term priorities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and engagement skills, with impact and ability to successfully influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
