I’m working with a global industry leading manufacture based in Leeds. A company that is very known within it’s industry and extremely reputable to it client base.

The primary objectives of this role at to develop, implement, monitor, and maintain efficient and safe manufacturing processes by:

- Identify inefficiencies in process & packing plant and equipment and facilitate their improvement
- Assist with the implementation of new raw materials, packaging and products within the factory
- Lead the development of capital and operational process development projects including specification, tendering, project approval, installation and commissioning
- Identify any safety or quality issues or concerns in the operation of the process plant and equipment

**Duties**:

- Work with cross functional teams to identify areas of poor process and packing performance and develop solutions to increase efficiency, reduce cost, improve reliability and maximise profitability
- Analyse plant data, KPIs and trends to identify inconsistencies and performance issues and implement changes to reduce these to improve process and equipment performance
- Support the introduction of new raw materials, packaging materials, products and processes to optimise performance on plant
- To develop capital investment and operational improvement projects including specification, tendering, capital approval, installation and commissioning
- Ensure all process engineering processes are completed to ensure the change process is correctly managed and the project requirements achieved
- Coordinate cross functional teams to ensure all stakeholders fully engaged in the project
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and to agreed budgets.

- Degree qualified chemical or mechanical engineer or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years manufacturing plant experience ideally chemical or FMCG environment
- Experience of continuous and lean manufacturing techniques and their practical implementation
