Suicide Bereavement Specialist

Pete's Dragons is an award-winning charity which provides postvention support to those affected by suicide. The Charity is fast-paced and fast-growing therefore you need to be comfortable with and even relish change.

We are currently expanding our team of suicide bereavement specialists to meet the demand on our service, with roles based in Exmouth and Plymouth supporting people in the East, Mid and South of the county of Devon.

The role of the Suicide Bereavement Specialist is to provide a proactive and timely community-based support to individuals, families, groups and/or communities who have experienced a suicide loss.

This is an exciting role for someone who is experienced in working supportively or therapeutically with vulnerable people who are experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression and self-harm. Knowledge or experience of the impact of suicide would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.

The roles will be office based from our Headquarters in Exmouth or our Plymouth office, but the ability to travel will be essential. Hours are flexible, but with a requirement for a minimum of 24 hours per week for part time and 40 hours per week for full time.
